You can think of it as a sort of decentralised Oracle solution. There are two primary components in the ChainLink architecture – an on-chain infrastructure and an off-chain infrastructure.\r\n\r\nOn-chain functions are oracles which are created to process user data requests. The Off-chain components are oracle nodes that exist off of the chain but are connected to the Ethereum blockchain. Chainlink is also notable for its difference from other oracle protocols. Their oracle distribution is decentralised which helps from a security perspective. \r\n\r\nThese off-chain nodes are rewarded for completing requests by receiving compensation. This compensation is in the form of the Native token on the ChainLink ecosystem, LINK. These are ERC20 standard tokens. Chainlink uses a simple consensus protocol that relies on threshold signatures. \r\n\r\nChainlink issued these tokens in an ICO that took place in September of 2017. They were able to raise a total of $32m in exchange for 35% of the total LINK token supply of 1bn LINK. \r\n\r\nNot long after the ICO, LINK tokens hit the exchanges. They have been generally less volatile than similar sized altcoins. There are good levels of liquidity for LINK tokens across a range of exchanges.","tags":"research","id":89967,"model":"external ratings model","provider":"Binance Research","dateCreated":"2018-09-19T00:00:00.000Z","symbol":"LINK","author":"Coin Bureau","type":"individual project review","typeFile":"external pdf","url":"https://resource.bnbstatic.com/reports/20180919/1537318224633.pdf"},{"title":" Groestlcoin Rating Update","category":"Ratings Report","source":"TokenInsight","keywords":"GRS Groestlcoin, Ratings Score: CCC","description":"The main function of the Groestlcoin, as a general payment token with a long life, has been realized. At present, the main network and wallet App are in the stage of regular updates and performance improvements. \n\nThe project has recently focused on enriching merchant networks, increasing payment scenarios, and increasing support for exchanges, payment platforms and third-party wallets.","tags":"research","id":91311,"model":"external ratings model","provider":"Binance Research","dateCreated":null,"symbol":"GRS","author":"TokenInsight","type":"individual project review","typeFile":"external pdf","url":"=\"https://resource.bnbstatic.com/\"&[@reportFile]"},{"title":" Zcoin Rating Update","category":"Ratings Report","source":"TokenInsight","keywords":"XZC Zcoin, Ratings Score: B","description":" Zcoin still takes achieving the privacy function on the blockchain as its main goal. In addition to being an anonymous payment token, Zcoin is also carrying out more applications including on-chain anonymous voting and anonymous third-party transmission. The development progress is by now stable, with the consensus algorithm being upgraded and trading pace sped up. In addition, the privacy protocol upgrade is under continuous development as a long-term plan.\n\nAt present, the project still faces challenges of low popularity and limited trading activity.","tags":"research","id":91324,"model":"external ratings model","provider":"Binance Research","dateCreated":null,"symbol":"XZC","author":"TokenInsight","type":"individual project review","typeFile":"external pdf","url":"=\"https://resource.bnbstatic.com/\"&[@reportFile]"},{"title":" ZILLIQA Post ICO Rating Review","category":"Ratings Report","source":"ICO Rating","keywords":"ZIL Zilliqa, Ratings Score: Positive","description":"ZILLIQA is a blockchain platform developed to scale to thousands of transactions per second.\r\n\r\nThe idea of sharding is at the forefront of ZILLIQA solution. It is designed to divide the mining network into smaller shards that are able to process transactions simultaneously. ZILLIQA juxtaposes computational sharding with the existing smart contract architectures (such as Ethereum) and expects to process about a thousand times the transaction rates of Ethereum (30 000 miners in 2017).\r\n\r\nZILLIQA has also proposed a smart contract language and execution environment. These solutions are supposed to make the ZILLIQA platform able to run highly scalable\r\ncomputations in various fields, such as data mining, machine learning, etc. \r\n\r\nThe ZILLIQA platform is designed for two types of entities: users and miners. A user is an external party who uses ZILLIQA system to transfer funds or execute smart contracts. Miners run ZILLIQA’s consensus protocol and get rewards. \r\n\r\nThe token, ZILLIQA participants use to pay for transaction processing or run smart contracts, is called Zilling (ZIL). The supply is 21 billion ZILs. \r\n\r\nIn January 2018 the team open sourced the alpha version of their Durian code. And on March 31 2018 ZILLIQA released a testnet with 1 000 nodes (4 shards) that runs on AWS.","tags":"research","id":90100,"model":"external ratings model","provider":"Binance Research","dateCreated":"2018-06-05T00:00:00.000Z","symbol":"ZIL","author":"ICO Rating","type":"individual project review","typeFile":"external pdf","url":"https://resource.bnbstatic.com/reports/20180925/1537885989791.pdf"},{"title":"$18.7 million fake token fraud leads to 12 arrests in South Korea","category":"article","source":"The Block Crypto","keywords":"Asia, ponzi scheme,Scam,South Korea","description":"
